One of NSW largest energy companies run their real-time energy reallocation application on Charon AXP (Alpha), it uses a legacy element of code that would not be possible to port to a modern platform.

UBS Enterprise Level Solutions was able to implement a Virtual Alpha Solution that exceeded the performance of the older platforms. There was no change to their data integration processes, end-users, technical staff and business users.

Deployment of Charon migration took weeks rather than the alternative option to re-write the application, which would take years and cost considerably more.
